animal spirit guide pelican

The post subjects are often not picked by me but for me.  I have been entertained on my morning walks for the last week by watching the pelicans flying, swooping and fishing. This morning I wondered about pelican as this week’s animal spirit guide.  However, I didn’t given it another thought until later after finishing some errands. Treating myself to a cruise through Barnes & Noble, I picked up a book by Lesley Morrison called The Healing Wisdom of Birds. Playing my favorite book game, I opened to a random page.  Yes! you guessed, it was pelicans!

animal spirit guide pelicanPelican’s Mythological past:

Believed to have mysterious life-giving powers – Like the phoenix, linked with the alchemical process of resurrection – worldwide symbol of charity, compassion and devotion – Queen Elizabeth wore a pendant depicting a pelican, representing her selfless love of her people.

Call on Pelican energy when:

You feel the need to ‘lighten up’ – You feel the need to let go of resentment or anger towards another – You feel overwhelmed and want to rise above your heavy emotional state – You feel the need to keep your head held high, despite your trials and tribulations

Pelican wisdom includes:

Proper use of abundance – Control of ego – Recovery from loss – Ability to float through emotions – Ability to return from the edge of extinction

I release all my anger, resentmentand guilt.

I have compassion for myself and others.

I raise above my past.

ancient spirit wisdom for all women

The beautiful painting above and the heart-felt poem for your enjoyment below are the gifts of Jassy Watson titled:

‘Ancient Spirit Wisdom’

I am Ancient Spirit Wisdom

I am ancient spirit wisdom
Cosmic Creatress -
all knowing, all seeing, all being.
I am Medicine Woman -
healer, visionary, guide
dream-weaver, dream-keeper.
I am past, present, future,
Divinity Herself.

journey with me
into the dark, vast interior…

She is ancient spirit wisdom
swathed in the mantle of life -
earth, air, fire, water.
She is soul rhythm
drum beat, heartbeat
rattle and hum, rattle and hum.
She is shapeshifter,
spirit bird emerging
from thick smoke spirals,
winged messenger
watching, waiting…

She offers me the lapis mantle,
I am afraid.
Self-doubt lurks in the shadows.
She wraps the mantle
over my bare shoulders -
warm, welcoming, familiar.
Have I been here before?
She embraces me.
Her gentle knowing and
accepting gaze beckons me.
I surrender.

I am transformed.
Heart ablaze
faith renewed,
we unite in Her cosmos,
my wise eternal companion and I.
I Am ancient spirit wisdom,
universal embodiment
of all that was, all that is,
all that will be.

Calling on Ancestors for Healing Help

November 24th, 2013 | Posted by Velda in ENERGY HEALING

Calling on Ancestors for healing

In many cultures, honoring and connecting with the ancestors is an accepted and honored tradition. Shamans all over the world believe and teach that we all have loving ancestors who want us to fulfill our destiny as happy and well-adjusted people.  What would it be like to connect with ancient ancestors that actually communicated with nature, animals, and the elements for healing of their minds, bodies and spirits, as well as the world? Developing bonds with the ancestors call for care and renewal. Honoring their wisdom and experience can make your life seem larger and richer. Like other spirit guides, your ancestors won’t interfere with your choices or attempt to deprive you of free will. They will only do their best to answer your questions and provide you with all the love, aid, and guidance you ask for in order to help you evolve as an individual.

animal spirit guide elephant

If Elephant Shows Up It Means:

That we must nurture ourselves first before helping those weaker or less fortunate. We need to trust our senses and focus on the whole picture. This could mean unearthing buried memories, facing them, and then letting them go. When an Elephant crosses our path it is a reminder to call on Elephant Medicine when needed. ( Elephant Medicine is listed on the image below.)

animal spirit guide elephant If Elephant is your Power Animal:

You feel things deeply and respond to those feelings from a place of inner knowing. Family is very important to you, especially the very young and the very old. You have a soft spot for the weak and the helpless.  Loyalty is your strong suit and you remain loyal in spite of difficult circumstances in all situations.

If Elephant has come to in your Dream:

–To see an elephant in your dream indicates that you need to be more patient or more understanding of others. Or perhaps there is a memory that you are holding for too long. You need to let go of the past.

–To dream that you are riding an elephant indicates that you are in control of your subconscious and aspects that you were once afraid of.

–To dream that you are afraid of the elephant suggests that there is an enormous problem that you are afraid to confront.

–To dream that you are an elephant suggests that you need to make your opinions and views known. You need to be more vocal and voice your ideas. Express yourself.

My Favorite Elephants:

After visiting Southern India, like many others, Ganesha  stole my heart.  This is one of India’s most beloved deities.  Ganesha is revered as remover of obstacles, animal spirit guide elephant protector, patron of arts and sciences. Ganesha is the only Hindu God to be associated in a “physical”sense with the most powerful sacred sound AUM which is the symbol of divine presence.

animal spirit quide - elephantElephants add to the aura of temples and bestow blessings on the devoted. They are painted for celebrations, and loved because these magnificent animals represent Lord Ganesha. I was fortunate to receive a blessing by a Shiva Temple elephant.  If I close my eyes, I can still imagine feeling the trunk touch the top of my head.

Elephant Affirmation:

I now find that all obstacles in my path are removed with ease & joy.

Calming Crystal Healing Layout

calming crystal healing layout

Benefits of the Calming Crystal Grid: The Crystal healing layout can help soothe an emotional upset and help one focus on practical solutions to the situation.

What is needed: 4 clear quartz points, 1 citrine crystal, 1  tumbled rose quartz stone and 1 tumbled amethyst stone.

Crystal Layout:

1. Place a rose quartz crystal on heart chakra.

2. Surround rose quartz by four clear quartz points.  Please note how the quartz points need to be placed:

  (A) To remove emotional imbalances place the points outwards.   OR  (B) to stabilize an over-emotional state point them inwards.

3. Place a citrine crystal on second chakra just below the navel. This will encourage a feeling of security and safety.

4. Place an amethyst on the brow chakra to help calm the mind.

5. Relax in this net for 5, 10 or 15 minutes. It is better to spend a short time regularly in a net than a long time occasionally.

You can check out more healing gemstone layouts in Simon Lilly’s book Crystals and Crystal Healing.
