Carry Peppermint Essential Oil With You

Carrying Peppermint Oil With YouWhy would you want to carry a bottle of Peppermint Essential Oil with you?  It is nice to put a drop of this essential oil in your water at restaurants. It helps digest food, curb the appetite, and it can stop nausea from stomach upset or indigestion.   Also a tiny bit can be placed on the tongue to freshen your breath instead of mints or gum.

Here are a few more Product Tips — Young Living Therapeutic Grade™ Peppermint Essential Oil:

1. Add a drop into your herbal tea to help aid normal digestion.

2. Massage several drops on the abdomen, or a drop on wrists, or inhale to soothe stomach discomfort associated with travel.

3. Apply to the back of the neck and shoulders throughout the day to keep energy up.

4. Diffuse or inhale mid-morning to curb the desire to snack.

Exercise – Color Me What Today?

May 8th, 2014 | Posted by Velda in COLORS

Color Me What Today?

Color Therapy is an alternative style of therapeutic practice that utilizes the vibration and frequency of color to aid in healing.  Are you in pain, feeling anxious, or fearful?   Here is an exercise to help establish the color therapy protocol you need TODAY:

Color Me What Today?

1.   Sit with your eyes closed and visualize your situation.

2.  Think of a color that soothes what you are feeling. Don’t worry if it takes a couple different examples, it is important to listen to your body and discover what works best for you.   What is today’s color?

3.  Take a deep breath and imagine pulling this color throughout your body. When you exhale, imagine the (anxiety, pain, fear, anger) leaving your body. Do this a few times until you to feel a shift in your body and begin to feel better.

4.  Imagine a glass filled with liquid in your chosen color and drinking it down.  That color is filling up your body…you begin to feel (calm, safe, happy, and any pain minimizing).

5.  Continue visualizing your chosen color for 3 – 5 minutes.  Thank this color and carry its energy with you for the rest of the day.

6.  Remember any color’s energy is available to you whenever it is needed.

UB 40 Lower Back, Hips & Knees

UB 40 for Lower Back, Hips & KneesBelow I have listed the benefits and technique of using acupressure on Urinary Bladder 40 as covered in Jacqueline Young’s book Acupressure Simple Steps to Health:

Benefits:  1.  Helps to promote circulation and the flow of vital energy throughout the lower body.  2.  Can improve mobility of the back and legs and relieve aching, pain, or stiffness in these areas.  3. Strengthens the joints of the lower back, hips and knees.  4 Relieves cramps and tension in the legs.

Technique:  Place the thumbs on the outside of each kneecap and the fingers behind the knees, while bending slightly.  Use the middle or index fingers of each hand to located the hollow between the tendons at the back of the knee.  Don’t press on the tendons and avoid varicose veins.   Apply firm, even pressure for 30 seconds to 1 minute, breathing deeply and visualizing energy flowing freely throughout the lower body.  Both points can be massaged simultaneously.

If applying acupressure on someone else, sit in front of them, place your fingers round the back of the knees with the thumbs at the sides for support, apply pressure with the middle or index fingers, ask the person to deep breath and visualize as above.

Rhodochrosite – Healer of Grief

Rhodochrosite-Healer Of Grief

Rhodochrosite Healer of GriefIn Judy Hall’s book Love Crystals, chapter Breaking Past Ties-Transforming Distressing Feelings With Crystals, she writes about Rhodochrosite.  This stone is an excellent healer of grief and offers comfort and self-reliance.  Rhodochrosite is a stone for the heart and relationships, especially for people who feel unloved.

This stone helps the heart assimilate painful feelings without shutting down, and removes denial. It is recommended to wear this stone on the wrist or place over the heart or solar plexus.  I called on the positive joyous feelings of Rhodochrosite when dealing with my Mother’s recent passing.  I am so grateful for the healing energy of this stone.

Ode to the Woman Within

Ode To The Woman Within

 by Helene Averous

To the woman who carries water to quench my thirst, I bow

To the woman who gave me life, I bow

To the woman who wipes my tears, I bow

To the woman who keeps on feeding my heart, I bow

To the woman who is tender with me, I bow

To the woman who cries, I bow

To the woman who prays, I bow

To the woman who is grateful, I bow

To the woman who suffers, I bow

To the woman who keeps on loving, I bow

To the woman who nurtures my soul, I bow

To the sacred woman, I bow
