Tuesday's Words - Accountability

Accountability is the willingness to accept responsibility for every choice.  It is acting with integrity— doing what we say we will do.  When we make a mistake, we do not seek to hide it or avoid it.  We need the courage to face it willingly.

“Mastering others is strength;

mastering yourself is true power.”

Lao Tzu – 6th Century BC

Tuesday's Words - Personal Accountability

Accountability is the glue that ties commitment to results.

I am my problem, but also my solution.

Tuesday's Words - Personal Accountability

“Wisdom stems from personal accountability.

We all make mistakes; own them… learn from them.

Don’t throw away the lesson by blaming others.”

~ Steve Maraboli

Tuesday's Words - Personal Accountability

Accountability in friendship is the equivalent of love without strategy.

Animal Spirit Guide - Andean Condor

I grew up hearing  my dad point out vultures flying above as we drove through the desert area.  As a young girl, I  wasn’t drawn to the word ‘Vulture’.  In  A Shaman’s Miraculous Tools For Healing,  by Alberto Villoldo, PhD with Anne O’Neill,  he shares that the  Andean Condor (Vulture), associated with the east, is the symbolic animal of Andean shamans.  The condor is seen as the protector of the wisdom of the high mountains.  The Andean Condor is the national symbol of Argentina, Bolivia, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador, and Peru.  It also is the national bird of Bolivia, Chile, Colombia and Ecuador.  This encouraged me to study more about the Andean Condor which is the largest flying bird with a wingspan that can reach 12 feet and the California Condor that can reach 9 feet.  Condors are considered sacred animals by many Native American cultures, particularly California Indian tribes and the Andean tribes of South America.

Animal Spirit Guide - Andean CondorIf CONDOR shows up, it means:

•  In the east you find the Condor who stands for vision. The energies of a Condor help you to find a clarity vision in your life.

•  When you pray,  it is the Condor who takes your prayers up to the spiritual world and comes back with the answers for you.

•  With the eyes of a Condor you see with your heart and with the wings of a Condor you see life in a bigger perspective.

•  You’ll find a renewed sense of vigor, vitality, and enthusiasm about life.  In the morning, take a few moments to greet the sun by standing with your arms out in a welcoming gesture.

•  This is a good time to retreat, and enter into a period of solitude and meditation.

Animal Spirit Guide - Andean Condor

 Call on CONDOR when:

•  You’re in a midst of a crisis, one that requires you to remain calm and adjust your thinking to accept the situation as it is before moving on to a  solution.

•  You’ve lost someone in your life through death and want to contact their spirit on the other side.

•  You see yourself as having disadvantages and want to reframe your perceptions and beliefs to see them as assets.

•  You feel as if you’re in a mess emotionally, physically, or spiritually, and you want to clean things up.

Animal Spirit Guide - Andean Condor•  You have the unique ability to make the best of a bad situation and find the rewards that result.

•  You are a somber and serious individual most of the time.

•  You are willing to take on distasteful tasks that others are unwilling to do.

•  You have the gift of mediumship, whether you’ve developed it or not, and can communicate with deceased loved ones and ancestors.

•  Because of your unusual appearance and your metaphysical gifts, others don’t understand you and may irrationally fear you, so they tend to keep their distance.

Message From Goddess Ixchel

Ixchel (pronounced EE-Shell or ISH-Chell) has been revered since ancient times as the Mayan Moon Goddess and Medicine Woman.  As an embodiment  of the moon,  Ixchel is  intimately  connected to the tides of water and controlling rain.  She is also called Lady Rainbow, as her essence is infused in water-droplet prisms that create rainbows.  Ixchel is also a mother goddess that helps with fertility and childbirth.  Finally she is a powerful healer and can connect you to your foundational roots as a spiritual healer.

Message From Goddess IxchelDoreen Virtue writes the following message from Ixcel in Goddess Guidance Oracle Cards:

1. “Commanding power is not the same as demanding it.  Demanding comes from a childlike place akin to a tantrum, based on fear that it might be withheld.  Commanding is based upon the sure and steady knowledge that you are part of the Great Spirit’s grace and wisdom.

2.   You’re a lightning rod that can conduct the power.  Simply connect to the power through unyielding clarity of your thought processes.  Don’t waver for a moment in your sure and steady decision to be a conduit of the power that already resides within you.

3.   Connect to the even bigger source, and allow it to amplify your natural power  In this way, you’re a steady connector of the Infinite, from the Infinite, and to the Infinite.  In other words, it’s all Spirit: around you, through you, and to whomever you’re healing.”

Hug A Tree Exercise Revisited

(Post First Published December 20, 2012)

Hug A Tree Exercise RevisitedI  am always amazed what can be found on the internet.  Somehow by accident I landed on a site called ‘How to Hug a Tree’.  This made me very curious, I then actually did research on tree hugging.  WOW!  I guess I am not the only one that hugs trees.  I take daily meditational healing walks, which includes hugging trees.  It is so dear to my heart that I have decided to share some of the benefits below, followed by the Tree Hugging Exercise.

In Matthew Silverstone’s book, Blinded by Science, he reveals the scientific data showing trees improve many health issues such as mental illness, ADHD, depression, the ability to alleviate headaches, reaction time and concentration levels.  He lists countless studies of children who showed significant psychological and physiological improvements in their health and well being when they interacted with plants and trees.  Plants and trees facilitate the cleansing and revitalizing of all the stored up negativity and stress humans experience and give it a place to be absorbed.  Being in their presence realigns our vibrations to be more in alignment with their healing and grounding vibrations.

 Hug A Tree Exercise:

Hug A Tree Revisited Exercise

1.  I encourage you to set aside 15-30 minutes for hugging a tree exercise which includes walking amongst the trees in a quiet park, forest or woodland area.

2.   Select a tree that fits your mood ask permission to hug it and then encircle the tree with your arms while gently pressing your cheek to the trunk.

3.   Let your awareness feel the flow of life energy in the tree and the grounding energy entering through your feet.

4.   When you are ready, turn your back to the tree and lean against it and start bouncing softly.  This is very good for your heart chakra and helping you to sleep better at night.  You can start out only bouncing 15 times and work up to what is comfortable for you.

5.   I have 5 beautiful fir trees in a circle that I bounce 50 times on each one because it helps my sleeping patterns.

6.  Remember to thank the tree or trees when you complete the hugging exercise.
