Candle Colors Healing Chart

Candle Colors are based on the same principle as that of color therapy. Different colors have different frequencies which, in turn, have different effects on the human psyche.  Candles can also be fragrant and the different fragrances can  reflect differently on one’s feelings and emotions.   We have looked at candle exercises and meditations in the past.  Today I wanted to share the following Candle Color Chart and each color’s meaning and use for easy references in the future.Candle Color Healing Chart

Reminder:  Never use the breath to extinguish a candle flame. This affects the frequency of the ending part of the candle burning session. Use a metal cup or flame snuffer made for this purpose.

Hippopotamus Spirit Animal

There is much to be said about the Hippopotamus.  During the day Hippopotamus lolls about in a river or watering hole. She spends her nights on land, foraging for food. Water is the element of feelings and intuitive knowing and earth is the element of grounded practicality and stability. Hippo is at home in both realms. Hippopotamus medicine is invoked by those who wish to be in touch with their intuition, feelings and psychic abilities while staying grounded, practical and stable.  The following is more about this wonderful creature:

Tuesday's Healing Word Surrender

Dr. Judith Orloff, an Assistant Clinical Professor of Psychiatry at UCLA, has helped patients find emotional freedom for over 20 years.  She shares the following, 4 Ways to Heal through Surrendering, in her book The Ecstasy of Surrender:

Tuesday's Healing Word Surrender

1. Surrender fear.  The mind has the power to think positively or negatively. The direction you choose can shape your healing. All thoughts aren’t created equal. Some, like fear, are more aggressive than others and take up more space in your psyche. If you indulge fear, a master seducer that preys on your doubts, there will be less room for hope, faith, and love.

Tuesday's Healing Word Surrender2. Surround yourself with healing people.  People can affect our health in a positive or negative way.  To heal, surrender to those who are loving.  Surrendering to the love of friends and family has the power to make you feel good and soften pain. The more you absorb these vibes, the better you will be.

3. Prepare nurturing personal space.  Your physical environment affects your healing. Unclutter your home or recovery room. A serene, light-filled, uncluttered room provides the open space to get well. A dark, stuffy, noisy, chaotic environment is disturbing. It can slow your recovery because you’ll be spending energy fighting off unpleasant distractions and stagnant clutter.

4. Surrender to peacefulness.  Find a serene place in your home where you can rest and relax. Settle into the stillness as you surrender to the peace and beauty. No rushing. No pressure. Take your time in the space. Breathe in the sweet smells, admire the quality of light, the joyous flowers, the lusciousness of a bowl of fruit. Enjoy soothing music that inspires your healing. Create a sacred altar if this resonates with you and feels comforting. Meditate. Absorb the goodness, healing, and rejuvenation all around you.

TripleWarmer/Spleen Balancing Hug

It is very important we help our Triple Warmer and Spleen have a balanced relationship. Triple Warmer is our survival mechanism. The Spleen processes everything physical and emotional and very much cares about the quality and harmony in our life.  Triple Warmer and Spleen sit across from each other on the meridian wheel so they pull energy from each other. Usually Triple Warmer  is hogging all the energy from the Spleen.  Sedating Triple Warmer and strengthening Spleen (and keeping them balanced) is one of the core concepts and practices of Donna Eden’s Energy Medicine.
