Tuesday's Words - Accountability

Accountability is the willingness to accept responsibility for every choice.  It is acting with integrity— doing what we say we will do.  When we make a mistake, we do not seek to hide it or avoid it.  We need the courage to face it willingly.

“Mastering others is strength;

mastering yourself is true power.”

Lao Tzu – 6th Century BC

Tuesday's Words - Personal Accountability

Accountability is the glue that ties commitment to results.

I am my problem, but also my solution.

Tuesday's Words - Personal Accountability

“Wisdom stems from personal accountability.

We all make mistakes; own them… learn from them.

Don’t throw away the lesson by blaming others.”

~ Steve Maraboli

Tuesday's Words - Personal Accountability

Accountability in friendship is the equivalent of love without strategy.

Animal Spirit Guide - Andean Condor

I grew up hearing  my dad point out vultures flying above as we drove through the desert area.  As a young girl, I  wasn’t drawn to the word ‘Vulture’.  In  A Shaman’s Miraculous Tools For Healing,  by Alberto Villoldo, PhD with Anne O’Neill,  he shares that the  Andean Condor (Vulture), associated with the east, is the symbolic animal of Andean shamans.  The condor is seen as the protector of the wisdom of the high mountains.  The Andean Condor is the national symbol of Argentina, Bolivia, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador, and Peru.  It also is the national bird of Bolivia, Chile, Colombia and Ecuador.  This encouraged me to study more about the Andean Condor which is the largest flying bird with a wingspan that can reach 12 feet and the California Condor that can reach 9 feet.  Condors are considered sacred animals by many Native American cultures, particularly California Indian tribes and the Andean tribes of South America.

Animal Spirit Guide - Andean CondorIf CONDOR shows up, it means:

•  In the east you find the Condor who stands for vision. The energies of a Condor help you to find a clarity vision in your life.

•  When you pray,  it is the Condor who takes your prayers up to the spiritual world and comes back with the answers for you.

•  With the eyes of a Condor you see with your heart and with the wings of a Condor you see life in a bigger perspective.

•  You’ll find a renewed sense of vigor, vitality, and enthusiasm about life.  In the morning, take a few moments to greet the sun by standing with your arms out in a welcoming gesture.

•  This is a good time to retreat, and enter into a period of solitude and meditation.

Animal Spirit Guide - Andean Condor

 Call on CONDOR when:

•  You’re in a midst of a crisis, one that requires you to remain calm and adjust your thinking to accept the situation as it is before moving on to a  solution.

•  You’ve lost someone in your life through death and want to contact their spirit on the other side.

•  You see yourself as having disadvantages and want to reframe your perceptions and beliefs to see them as assets.

•  You feel as if you’re in a mess emotionally, physically, or spiritually, and you want to clean things up.

Animal Spirit Guide - Andean Condor•  You have the unique ability to make the best of a bad situation and find the rewards that result.

•  You are a somber and serious individual most of the time.

•  You are willing to take on distasteful tasks that others are unwilling to do.

•  You have the gift of mediumship, whether you’ve developed it or not, and can communicate with deceased loved ones and ancestors.

•  Because of your unusual appearance and your metaphysical gifts, others don’t understand you and may irrationally fear you, so they tend to keep their distance.

Message From Goddess Ixchel

Ixchel (pronounced EE-Shell or ISH-Chell) has been revered since ancient times as the Mayan Moon Goddess and Medicine Woman.  As an embodiment  of the moon,  Ixchel is  intimately  connected to the tides of water and controlling rain.  She is also called Lady Rainbow, as her essence is infused in water-droplet prisms that create rainbows.  Ixchel is also a mother goddess that helps with fertility and childbirth.  Finally she is a powerful healer and can connect you to your foundational roots as a spiritual healer.

Message From Goddess IxchelDoreen Virtue writes the following message from Ixcel in Goddess Guidance Oracle Cards:

1. “Commanding power is not the same as demanding it.  Demanding comes from a childlike place akin to a tantrum, based on fear that it might be withheld.  Commanding is based upon the sure and steady knowledge that you are part of the Great Spirit’s grace and wisdom.

2.   You’re a lightning rod that can conduct the power.  Simply connect to the power through unyielding clarity of your thought processes.  Don’t waver for a moment in your sure and steady decision to be a conduit of the power that already resides within you.

3.   Connect to the even bigger source, and allow it to amplify your natural power  In this way, you’re a steady connector of the Infinite, from the Infinite, and to the Infinite.  In other words, it’s all Spirit: around you, through you, and to whomever you’re healing.”

Tuesday's Healing Word - Wellness

Wellness is the quality or state of good physical, emotional, and spiritual health.   Caren Goldman writes in her book, Healing Words for the Body, Mind and Spirit,  “To be a picture of wellness, I must paint it myself.”

And we, in turn, are affected not only emotionally

Animal Spirit Guide - Jaguar

There is so much to learn from the wise indigenous peoples from all over the world regarding the power of animals.   Alberto Villolodo, Ph.D., shares the following in his book One Spirit Medicine: 1.  The shamans in the jungle tell us that the jaguar is a potent symbol of the Devine Feminine.  2.  In the southwestern United States, the Mexican jungles, and the Andean highlands, the jaguar represents the healing power of One Spirit Medicine.   3.  For the Maya, the jaguar is a symbol of death and acceptance of death’s role in the cycle of life.

Here is more helpful information found in  Dr. Steven Farmer’s best-selling book, Animal Spirit Guides:

You’re very clear and straightforward in your communication, sometimes to the point of bluntness.

You’re a strong and natural leader with a great deal of charisma coupled with humility, and you carry yourself with relaxed authority.

Your presence tends to dominate the room, even if you’re not the center of attention at any given moment.

Tuesday's Words - Experiencing Synchronicity

What is your experience with Synchronicity?  Do you feel when two people start to call each other at the same time…it is only a coincidence?  I can remember when I was a young wife and mother and lived several thousand miles from my Mom, almost every time I started to call her, my phone would ring and it was her.  Sometimes it would be reversed and I dialed first.  At the time, I wasn’t aware that I was possibly experiencing synchronicity.   Synchronicity is a concept, first explained by psychiatrist Carl Jung, which believes that such events are “meaningful coincidences”.

Tuesday's Words - Experiencing Sychronicity

“People love mysterious things, and synchronicity is like magic happening to them,” says Carolyn North, author of Synchronicity: The Anatomy of Coincidence. “It gives us a sense of hope, a sense that something bigger is happening out there than what we can see, which is especially important in times like this when there are so many reasons for despair.”

Tuesday's Words-Experiencing Synchronicity

“When you stop existing and you start truly living,

each moment of the day comes alive with the wonder and synchronicity.”

~ Steve Maraboli, Life, the Truth, and Being Free

Tuesday's Words - Experiencing Synchronicity

“Synchronicity happens once you let the universe flow continuously through you,

not when you try to fit in its flow.”

Tuesday's Healing Word - Solitude

Solitude - the state or quality of being alone or remote from others. Solitude is indeed a blessing in disguise.   It is hard to know yourself, if you never spend quality time alone.  Some of the best ideas are conceived in absolute solitude.

Tuesday's Healing Word - Solitude

 ”In Solitude there is healing.

Speak to your soul.

Listen to your heart.

Sometimes in the absence of noise,

we find the answers.”

Tuesday's Healing Word - Solitude

“She would not exchange her solitude for anything.

Never again to be forced

to move to the rhythms of others.”

Creating Goddess Affirmations

November 18th, 2015 | Posted by Velda in AFFIRMATIONS | GODDESS WISDOM

Create Goddess Affirmations

Studying Goddess Mythology is rather new for me.  However, I have found that many women are becoming more drawn to the feminine energies surrounding many of the world’s Sacred Goddess Centers.  I certainly felt the Earth’s or Goddess’s feminine energy at the Minoan Ruins.  Today lets focus on how to feel and believe in our Goddess within.  In the book, Goddess Bless! Divine Affirmations, Prayers, and Blessings, author Sirona Knight guides the readers on how to create affirmations to contact the Goddess you need, when you need her.

The author recommends a simple formula for creating Goddess affirmations.  You can customize your affirmations to fit your personal situations or specific issues.  She suggests begin with a basic phrase consisting of one or two lines.  Keeping it short and to the point, makes it easier to remember for repetition.

Creating Goddess Affirmations

Following is a basic affirmation suggested for healing by author Sirona Knight:

Today and every day, I feel the healing power of

the Goddess flowing through me.

Create Goddess Withing Affirmations

After you have a basic affirmation to work from, you can then begin to tailor it to fit other situations and needs.  If you are needing wisdom, you can change the affirmation like the following:

Today and every day, I feel the divine wisdom of

the Goddess filling my body, mind, and spirit.

Create Goddess Withing Affirmations

To give the affirmation more power, you can call upon a particular Goddess to help give you the wisdom you need.  Keep repeating the lines until you begin to feel the power of that Goddess.   Imagine in your mind’s eye the great Celtic Goddess Anu, whose main power was her motherly wisdom, as you repeat the following affirmations:

Today and every day, I feel the divine wisdom of

the Great Mother Goddess Anu filling my body,

mind, and spirit.  She is helping me to

make the best choices possible.

Create Goddess Withing Affirmations

You can also add your name to personalize the affirmation even more, for example:

Today and every day, I, (your name), feel the divine

wisdom of the Great Mother Goddess Anu filling

my body, mind, and spirit, and helping me to

make the best choices possible.

Create Goddess Withing Affirmations

To make your affirmations more successful, consider setting up a sacred space for doing them.  Pick a place that is out of the way and private.  It doesn’t have to be anything elaborate, but where you feel comfortable.  It is nice to place an image of a Goddess or something that represents her such as a favorite rock, flowers, or a special photo.  Enjoy creating your own affirmations and Awakening your Goddess Within.

Cheerfulness 2-3

Cheerfulness is seeing the bright side and looking for the good in whatever happens.  It is maintaining a positive attitude of optimism and confidence.  Even when life is challenging, we make the best of it, and trust all will be well.   A cheerful smile can light up everyone’s day.  It nurtures happiness.

“Cheerfulness, it would appear,
is a matter which depends fully as much on the state
of things within,
as on the state of things without and around us.”
