Inner Energy Affirmations

The affirmation exercises illustrated below are used in Sahaja Yoga to bring attention  inside and above your head where meditation occurs.  They awaken your inner energy and are helpful prior to meditating.  Here are the simple directions for Inner Energy Affirmations:

1.  Make your self comfortable before starting.  Take a few deep breaths and relax.  2.  Use your right hand and place on the left side of your body as shown in each illustration.  3.  Keep your attention on the right hand, while you say each affirmation. In that way your attention will also rise as your hand does.  4.  Repeat each one a few times silently inside with sincerity.  Using these exact words is not as important as the meaning.   Say what feels right to you.  ENJOY!

Tuesday's Healing Word Creativity

The dictionary defines creativity as the  ability to transcend traditional ideas, rules, patterns, relationships, or the like, and to create meaningful  ideas, forms, methods, interpretations, etc.  The joy in creativity is in the process not necessarily the outcome.

Tuesday's Healing Word - Creativity

To be Creative

means to be in love with life.

You can be Creative

only if you love life enough

that you want to enhance its beauty,

you want to bring a little more music to it,

a little more poetry to it,

a little more dance to it.

~ Osho

Passion is one great force that unleashes creativity,

because if you’re passionate about something,

then you’re more willing to take risks.

~Yo-Yo Ma

You can’t use up creativity. The more you use, the more you have.

Tuesday's Healing Words - Inner Guidance

Inner Guidance is your deepest knowing made conscious. As you learn to trust and make use of this faculty, it can become your decision maker.  Inner Guidance is ‘the still, small voice within’ that coaxes us to approach or avoid, depending upon what is in our best interest.

Tuesday's Healing Words - Inner Guidance

“Inner guidance is heard like soft music in the night by those who have learned to listen.”

~ Vernon Howard

“The body has its own way of knowing, a knowing that has little to do with logic, and much to do with truth, little to do with control, and much to do with acceptance, little to do with division and analysis, and much to do with union.”

 ~ Marilyn Sewell

“Our inner guidance comes to us through our feelings and body wisdom first — not through intellectual understanding. The intellect works best in service to our intuition, our inner guidance, soul, God or higher power – whichever term we choose for the spiritual energy that animates life.”

~ Christiane NorthrupTuesday's Healing Words - Inner Guidance

Tuesday's Healing Word Understanding

Understanding is having clear insight into ideas and feelings.  It is thoughtfully seeking to comprehend the full truth and being mindful of what is most important.  It is having compassion and empathy for others.  I am not sure where this old saying originated, but it is a great one to reflect on when necessary:    “You can’t really UNDERSTAND another person’s experience until you’ve walked a mile in their shoes.”

Tuesday's Healing Word Understanding

The Practice of Understanding:

1.   Reflect on the meaning of ideas.

2.  Have empathy for others.

3.  Be mindful of meaning.

4.  Be a discerning listener.

5.   Be compassionate.

6.  Forgive mistakes.

7.  Value knowledge and  perceptiveness.

“If one is master of one thing and understands

one thing well, one has at the same time,

insight into and understanding of many things.”

Affirmations For Self-Care

Today is Mother’s Day.  I want to share with all women readers what this day means to me.  Yes some of us may be mothers, all of us are daughters, and hopefully we are mothering our dreams and ambitions.  Ultimately, self-care is the most import mothering we can do for ourselves.

Much TO DO About Root Chakra

April 27th, 2015 | Posted by Velda in AFFIRMATIONS | CHAKRAS

Much To Do About The Root Chakra

I am feeling a little nostalgic and decided to revisit  bwb’s first Root Chakra entry published Dec. 1, 2012.  There has been only a few updates including adding the Root Chakra Affirmations.

The Root/Base Chakra is the first chakra and is located at the base of the spine (perineum).  This chakra is concerned with basic survival, physical needs, the skeletal structure, teeth, large intestine, kidneys, and blood.  It is the root of your being and establishes the deepest connections with the physical body, the environment, and with the Earth. Your fight and flight response is initiated from this chakra. Its color-red; element-Earth energy; and Rights-To Have.  The following vibrate to the Root Chakra.   GEMSTONES: Ruby, Red Jasper, Garnet, Hematite, Bloodstone & Smokey Quartz. ESSENTIAL OILS:  Clary Sage, Patchouli & Cedarwood. FLOWER REMEDIES:  Red Chestnut, Cherry Plum & Aspen.

If the Root Chakra is insufficiently open, one may feel spaced out and un-grounded.  An un-balanced or blocked chakra could mean lack of confidence, fear, of low self-esteem.  When your Root Chakra is balanced,  you feel grounded, independent, and stable.  A healthy Root Chakra will promote core feelings of trust, safety and protection.  To BALANCE A Root Chakra you may use any of the gemstones, essential oils and flower remedies mentioned above.  Here are a few more suggestions:  Wear something red or burn a red candle, play drum music for the grounding vibration.  Walk around outdoors preferably near trees. Add Root Chakra healing foods such as root vegetables, mushrooms, red colored foods, and animal protein (if you are not vegan or vegetarian).

Divine Feminine Power

Welcome to my new category Divine Feminine Power. I am going through another awakening period and it focuses on matriarchal vs patriarchal power.  Why can’t it be equal?  Most of my healing work is about balancing the masculine and feminine energy.  However, there is so much more that we as women need to do for ourselves.  From the earliest moments of life, most of us are told stories of patriarchal greatness. Subconsciously, we adopt the philosophy that the matriarchal role is of less importance and femininity is ultimately inferior. This kind of thinking binds us. It diminishes our self worth. It shackles our minds and our spirits. I invite you to release these debilitating thought patterns and beliefs and embrace ones that empower women as mothers, daughters, lovers, healers, teachers, and creators.

Divine Feminine Power

The following five healing affirmations, by Dr. Anjana Love Dixon D.DIV, helps to reflect on the wild woman that lies dormant by retrieving and unleashing your Divine Feminine Power:

  1. My body is a miracle and giving birth is a blessing. The birthing process, no matter how it plays out for me, is a testament of my strength. It is a beautiful experience that ensures the survival of our species or creative works.
  2. I am free to love fearlessly and ferociously. I am an emotional and sexual being with the natural desire to share my affection or my love for my passion.
  3. My monthly flow is a blessing. As a younger woman, I bleed from my sacred space and accept that this is a physically and spiritually cleansing process and welcome it each month.  As an older woman through with menses, I reflect upon my life and listen to my intuition monthly.
  4. My body is my own and I love it unconditionally. Every wrinkle, scar, stretch mark, and dimple on my body tells a story. Like with any story, there are parts that harbor sadness or pain, but I embrace these parts of myself as well. I understand that I write my own stories and can change them as I feel the need.
  5. I am Divine by nature. I go inward to connect with ancient wisdom for the modern woman.  I choose to honor myself as a powerful matriarchal being.
