Tracing Triple Warmer Is CalmingIn Donna Eden’s book, Energy Medicine, she teaches her method of sedating the Triple Warmer by running the meridian energy backwards.  This helps relax and reduce stress.  To sedate the Triple Warmer follow the illustration:

1.  Use fingers of your opposite hand to touch the outside edge of your eyebrow (furthest from your nose); trace with your fingers back over and around the ear; down the back of your neck, across the back of your shoulder; down the outside of your arm to the back of your hand; and finish by touching the fourth ‘ring’ finger at the base of the nail.

2. Repeat at least three times on each side of your body.  Continue tracing the Triple Warmer backwards as needed to help you relax and relieve stress.

1.  Sit down comfortably with your back straight and chin and chest held high.  Breathe in and out through your nose.

2.  Raise your hands and press the tips of each index finger, thumb, and ring finger together. The middle finger and little finger should extend straight out.

3.  Hold this posture for at least five minutes. You can perform the Rudra Mudra up to three to six times in a day.

But know this, there are many healing techniques to help reconnect with your lost Inner Child.  This illustration may just look like child’s play and you would be totally correct.  However, if you would start having fun participating in some of these activities, reconnecting, and accepting your Inner Child, the healing begins.  Please GO jump into a mud puddle, BLOW  bubbles, DANCE on top of the furniture, ROLL down a grassy hill,  and be like a five year old…HAVE A BLAST!

Lucy was a loveable, ditzy, redheaded, character, that we still can watch on reruns of  ’I Love Lucy’.  But Lucille Ball was also a brilliant business woman in a male dominated profession.  In 1962, she became the first woman to run a major television studio,  which produced many successful  television series such as Mission Impossible and Star Trek.

Many hospitals now offer laughter therapy programs as a complementary treatment to illness.  Close your eyes and visualize people laughing across this county at an inspiring redheaded comedian.  We love Lucy!

Water Visualization Exercise:

Nature'sHealing Gift-Aura CleansingSit comfortably in a quiet place.  Close your eyes and feel your body relax. Take a few deep, slow breaths in and out, and with each out breath feel all of the muscles in your body loosen. Pay special attention to your face, neck and shoulders.

Imagine yourself sitting under a waterfall. See the glistening water gently falling over you. How cool is the water on your skin? Smell the fresh air. Hear the water falling into the pool below. Stick your tongue out and taste the freshness of the water.

Visualize the water filled with sparkling white light. See it penetrating your entire body, cleansing every cell as it washes through you.  If there is any fear, anger, hurt, pain, grief or sadness within you, see the beautiful sparkly water cleansing it out.

Continue with this process for as long as you wish, until you see yourself completely clean and sparkling, inside and out. When you have finished, bring yourself back into the moment by taking a few deep breaths and wiggling your fingers and toes.

Make it is your intention to carry this Light with you for the rest of the day.

I wanted to complete the February heart theme with the following Heart Breath Practice that is from the amazing book, Planetary Healing Spirit Medicine for Global Transformation, by Nicki Scully and Mark Hallert:

Heart Breath PracticeRelax.  Close your eyes and take a couple of deep, calming breaths.  Focus on your heart.  Look within and find the eternal flame of your being that dwells in the sanctuary of your heart center.  This flame is the  spark of your Soul that endures throughout time.

As you bring your heart flame into focus, access whatever inner senses are available to you—sight, hearing, feeling, knowing, imagination…then activate feelings of love in your heart and use those feelings to feed your heart flame.  Love is the fuel.

Today is all about going to the most imaginative place you can.  It might be a great time to let your inner child out to play with this experience.  I got excited when reading Barbara Hoberman Levine’s, Self-Help Experience #45, in her book, Your Body Believes Every Word You Say. 

This exercise encourages the readers to send symbolic warrior-helper symbols to stimulate their immune system and aid the white blood cells in ridding the body of any intruding organisms.  She suggests our immune-enhancing agents might be warfare weapons like tanks, lasers or Pacmen.  I preferred her second suggestion of selecting weapons of love, such as a laser beam of golden light.   Below are the simple instructions for Self-Help #47.  Feel free to use my immune strengthening healing symbols, the White Cell Fairies.

Fairy Dusting The Immune System1.  Relax into the helpful alpha state—awake though relaxed. Practice this with eyes closed, seated or lying down.  When you get good at this you most likely will be able to do it with your eyes open.

2.  Choose your helper symbols and imagine them traveling throughout your entire body.  Imagine them removing any unwanted organism.

3.  When you are finished, thank your helpers for the work they did.  Tell yourself, “This process strengthened my immune system.”

Apaan Mudra-Detoxify, purify, Energize

Mudras help to channel the flow of energy through the body.  The five fingers represent the five elements:
Apaan Mudra-Detoxify, Purify, EnergizeThumb – Fire.
Index – Air.
Middle – Ether or the spaces between cells within the body.
Ring – Earth.
Pinky – Water.

From a yoga scientific perspective, electromagnetic currents in the body are brought into balance by joining fingers in a variety of ways. Accordingly, a mudra is believed to affect the flow of energy or prana through the body.

The Apaan Mudra is known as the purification mudra.  It cleanses the body and thus helps in elimination of waste matter from nose, mouth, ears and eyes. It is very useful in case of stomachache, constipation, and urinary problems.

Here are the simple directions for using the Apaan Mudra:

1.  Stand or sit up straight.  2. Bend middle, ring fingers and thumb so that their tips are touching.  Index and little fingers are pointing straight.  3.  The Apaan Mudra is usually performed with both hands and held for at least 30 minutes. (You can divide it into three sessions of 10 to 15 minutes).
