nature's healing gift - babbling brook“The babbling brook would loose it’s song if you removed the rocks.” ~ Unknown

Being near a babbling brook soothes and heals as we listen to the lovely bubbly, gurgling sound.  It has been proven that the continuous murmuring sound of water flowing over stones is very relaxing.

When have you spent time by a babbling brook?  Try this exercise with me now. It requires the amazing ability to recall and use your childhood imagination.  Here is where the fun starts: 1. Stroll into this magnificent photo and find the stone you want to sit on. 2. Relax take in the beauty surrounding you and listen to the healing sounds. 3. If you wish accept a refreshing gift by dangling your feet in the cool mountain water.

I hope this encourages you to find a babbling brook or roaring stream to visit soon.

 nature's green symbolizes master healer

Color is Nature’s healer.  Positive healing effects of the color green for the body and the soul were recognized by St. Hildegard of Bingen (1098 – 1179), a famous medieval healer and author.  We in the Pacific Northwest are surrounded with the beauty of Nature’s greens which symbolize the master healer and the life force.

Nature's Healing Beauty Mountains

Fortunately living in Seattle from a distance I have two beautiful mountain ranges that are always emotionally awesome.  It is difficult to describe the feelings that overtake us when viewing such a splendid part of nature.  One doesn’t have to be a skier, hiker, or step foot on the site of these magnificient mountains to feel their healing energy.

“Keep close to Nature’s heart…and break clear away,

once in awhile, and climb a mountain or spend a week in the woods.

Wash your spirit clean.”

Nature's Healing Gift - Star Gazing

Stargazing and moonlight walks are highly recommended for cooling the body and the emotions. Therapeutic stargazing can provide a sense of wonder, awe, and spirituality.  Star gazing has proved helpful in treating mood disorders and addictions.

Stargazing can be a powerful healing meditation when looking for answers to deal with fear, panic, and anger from past injuries or struggling with a sense of loss. Also one can find relief when gazing at the stars to clear imprints and heal past traumas.

Nature's healing rain energy

We already know how the trees and plants become revitalized from a lovely rain shower.  Melissa Alvaraez writes in her book 365 Ways to Raise Your Frequency, how getting caught in a rain shower can be fun, cleansing, invigorating, and raise one’s energy.

Nature's Healing Rain Energy

When was the last time you walked or played in the Rain?  Maybe it time to return to your youth.  Find an opportunity to play in the rain.  Raise your hands up in the air,  face the sky, spin, or dance, and bathe in the rain.  Feel the energy from the rain shower, the grounding energy from the earth and playful energy from the exercise.

Maybe what is more healing for you is to be lulled by the sound followed by the unique fresh, clean fragrance after the rain.  We can choose how to connect with rain to bring our energy up or to calm us down.

dseer's healing giftLast week my husband was fortunate to have an uninvited visit from a beautiful buck deer that he captured on video as the animal lunched on daisy and hosta salad. When watching this video, there appears to be an amazing animal to human connection.

In Victoria Hunt’s book Animal Omens, she writes: ”Deer teaches about gentleness and caring.  It is one of the animals most often used as a helper and guide in shamanic work because its energy-force matches a human’s.

Deer is about listening from the heart with patience and love, being who you innately are and not putting on airs or letting the ego get out of hand, and not forcing your views and opinions on others who might see things differently.

If a Deer has come to you, look for the gentle, nurturing part of your spirit that needs to be shared.  By sending out kindness and love, that kindness and love will come back to you threefold.”

I pray for the safety of these magnificent animals that somehow have found their way to the suburbs.

“Summer breeze
makes me feel fine
blowing through the jasmine in my mind
Summer breeze
makes me feel fine
blowing through the jasmine in my mind.”Nature's healing breezes

I love the chorus of this Seals & Crofts song.  It reminds me how much I enjoyed running and playing in the wind as a child.  I felt invincible being with Nature’s energy breezes. As an adult, I can always count on Nature’s healing breezes when kayaking.

During my early morning walks, I am entertained by watching the fir trees dance with the breezes.  It is those early morning breezes that clears out the cobwebs and frees my mind.

“And forget not that the earth delights to feel your bare feet and the winds long to play with your hair.” ~Kahlil Gibran (1883-1931)

The following quote reminds us how important it is to recognize all of Nature’s Healing Gifts: “And I learned what is obvious to a child. That is simply a collection of little lives, each lived one day at a time. That each day should be spent finding beauty in flowers and poetry and talking to animals. That a day spent with dreaming and sunsets and refreshing breezes cannot be bettered.” ~ Nicholas Sparks, author

Nature's Healing Gift -Rainbows.There is nothing more healing than when nature turns a grey day into a Rainbow Day! It is magical that no two observers will ever witness exactly the same rainbow because each will view a different set of drops at a slightly different angle. Here are four inspirational rainbow quotes:

1. (Rainbows chase blues away) - “If the world’s a veil of tears, smile till rainbows span it.”~Lucy Larcom (1824-1893)

2. (Brighten other people’s life) -”Be a rainbow in someone else’s cloud.”~Maya Angelou.

3. (Look for the Positive)“There’s a rainbow in the sky, all the time, don’t be blind.”~Ziggy Marley

4. (Aspire) -”You’ll never find a rainbow if you’re looking down.”~Charlie Chaplin (1889-1977)

healing sounds of birds singing

Have you taken the time to listen to the healing sounds of birds singing? I am one that loves waking up very early to the sounds of  birds chirping and singing.  It is always a mystery why the beautiful singers are always hidden in the trees, while the crows walk around having no fear even when they are joined by humans traipsing around them.  They continue cawing and squawking to each other.  If you have patience and join in on their conversations, they might even talk with you. These large noisy black birds almost overshadow the singers in the trees, but I have become fascinated and very found of the crows. We learn from them that we can let our voices be heard.  Thank you our fine feathered friends for all the healing sounds you share with us.
