The Anger Area (Liver) can hold anger at self and others, jealousy and resentment.  Traditional Chinese Medicine states anger stagnation in liver can lead to headaches, dizziness, and other health symptoms.  One can help relieve stored up anger by chanting the healing sound for liver which is “shhhhhh” combined with  the energy color of green.   Let’s start:

Take a full inhalation and chant on the exhalation ‘ssshhhhhuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu,’ extending the healing sound for as long as you can.  Repeat this exercise  3 – 6 times, releasing stress, anger, or heat held in the liver.  When you have completed the chanting, visualize sending kindness and gratitude to your liver infused with a healing green light flowing into your liver.

Louise L. Hay writes in her book, Meditations to Heal Your Life,

If I believe that life is a joy, and I am lovable and my needs are always met,

then my immune system will feel supported, and my body will more easily fight off dis-ease.”

This beautiful song from the album ‘River of Breath’ performed by John Adorney and Daya, produced 2002 by Dunrite productions, Inc. continues to be inspiration and grounding music for me.  I immediately start swaying and dancing when the music starts playing.  Here are the words to the 4th song ‘River of Breath‘:  This beautiful wind * This beautiful  wind   * This beautiful sail * Is blowing within *  That catches the wind * Caught by the sail *  With every breath * With every breath *  This fountain of life * This fountain of life *   Is flowing inside * (this is so real) *  This river of breath * This river of breath *  Runs through you * Runs through you *  This motion *  This moment.

Roaringlioncleansing, releasingforpainIn Mitchell L. Gaynor, M.D.’s book, ‘The Healing Power of Sound’, he discusses specific toning exercise.  He states “Moaning and groaning are cleansing sounds that come naturally when aches and pains are being released.  High-pitched, penetrating sounds, or even fierce screaming can help break up energy blockages that may have led to emotional and physical armoring.  Release the sound that you feel from within.  It may be a bloodcurdling, terrifying scream that could go on for several minutes, until it may actually end in laughter.  Releasing a scream that has been held in for decades can be a joyous, liberating experience.”

I know this works.  If you find it difficult to let out a bloodcurdling scream, how about a fierce roar?   NO KITTY ROAR, purring is for toning later.

Chanting OM is recommended to release blockages that might be present in your throat region.  The OM sound is believed to have a positive effect on the nervous system, to strengthen the respiratory system and to energize every part of the body.  Chanting its three syllables sets up rebalancing vibrations in your body.   Here are the components of OMAAAH  OU  MMMMM  and directions on how to chant:OMcolorwheel

AAAH -open mouth wide and begin to loudly chant the initial syllable, AAAH, letting the sound begin in the pit of your abdomen.

OU - Gradually round your lips to allow the sound to morph into OU.  Feel it move up through your chest and throat region.

MMMMM - Continue rounding your lips more tightly to form the final sound, MMMMM.  Let the sound vibrate in your head and face, especially in your sinus cavities.

Feel free to repeat OM Chanting slowly, making each part of the sound as long as possible.   The sounds can become softer and softer until you are whispering or humming the chant.  Then begin to make the sound gradually louder again.

“Urban Shaman A Handbook for Personal and Planetary Transformation Based on The Hawaiian Way of the Adventurer” by Serge Kahili, PhD has the following Hawaiian chant translated into English.

Dr. Kahili includes this chant in courses he teaches on Hawaiian Shamanism:

“Be aware, be free,  be focused, be loved, be strong, be healed.”
