Tuesday's Words - Experiencing Synchronicity

What is your experience with Synchronicity?  Do you feel when two people start to call each other at the same time…it is only a coincidence?  I can remember when I was a young wife and mother and lived several thousand miles from my Mom, almost every time I started to call her, my phone would ring and it was her.  Sometimes it would be reversed and I dialed first.  At the time, I wasn’t aware that I was possibly experiencing synchronicity.   Synchronicity is a concept, first explained by psychiatrist Carl Jung, which believes that such events are “meaningful coincidences”.

Tuesday's Words - Experiencing Sychronicity

“People love mysterious things, and synchronicity is like magic happening to them,” says Carolyn North, author of Synchronicity: The Anatomy of Coincidence. “It gives us a sense of hope, a sense that something bigger is happening out there than what we can see, which is especially important in times like this when there are so many reasons for despair.”

Tuesday's Words-Experiencing Synchronicity

“When you stop existing and you start truly living,

each moment of the day comes alive with the wonder and synchronicity.”

~ Steve Maraboli, Life, the Truth, and Being Free

Tuesday's Words - Experiencing Synchronicity

“Synchronicity happens once you let the universe flow continuously through you,

not when you try to fit in its flow.”

Tuesday's Healing Word - Solitude

Solitude - the state or quality of being alone or remote from others. Solitude is indeed a blessing in disguise.   It is hard to know yourself, if you never spend quality time alone.  Some of the best ideas are conceived in absolute solitude.

 ”In Solitude there is healing.

Speak to your soul.

Listen to your heart.

Sometimes in the absence of noise,

we find the answers.”

Cheerfulness 2-3

Cheerfulness is seeing the bright side and looking for the good in whatever happens.  It is maintaining a positive attitude of optimism and confidence.  Even when life is challenging, we make the best of it, and trust all will be well.   A cheerful smile can light up everyone’s day.  It nurtures happiness.

“Cheerfulness, it would appear,
is a matter which depends fully as much on the state
of things within,
as on the state of things without and around us.”

CHEERFULNESS IS HEALING!

 Tuesday's Healing Word Humming

Humming is a soothing form of sound medicine, infusing your body with many therapeutic benefits.  Imagine filling your head with the vibration of a calming “humm” for one, two or even 5 minutes.  It’s bliss. Bliss that you can create inside your head and body within seconds.  We also can receive the same benefits from whistling.

Tuesday's Healing Word Humming

The simple act of humming can have similar effects, according to research into what’s known as vibrational medicine, and that various frequencies can produce healing properties.  Along with calming your spirits and your nervous system, it improves your breathing rate and boosts oxygen distribution throughout the body.

Humming may be one of the most natural things a person can do, yet the benefits are surprisingly far reaching.  It produces a positive effect on both heart rate and blood pressure.  Smiling, while humming your favorite tune or the sound “Om,” (pronounced AOM) for two minutes, changes your mindset and emotions.  If you started humming right now, your muscles in the face, jaws, and shoulders would begin to relax.  GO FOR IT!   START HUMMING!

Tuesday's Healing Word Creativity

The dictionary defines creativity as the  ability to transcend traditional ideas, rules, patterns, relationships, or the like, and to create meaningful  ideas, forms, methods, interpretations, etc.  The joy in creativity is in the process not necessarily the outcome.

Tuesday's Healing Word - Creativity

To be Creative

means to be in love with life.

You can be Creative

only if you love life enough

that you want to enhance its beauty,

you want to bring a little more music to it,

a little more poetry to it,

a little more dance to it.

~ Osho

Passion is one great force that unleashes creativity,

because if you’re passionate about something,

then you’re more willing to take risks.

~Yo-Yo Ma

Tuesday's Healing Words - Inner Guidance

Inner Guidance is your deepest knowing made conscious. As you learn to trust and make use of this faculty, it can become your decision maker.  Inner Guidance is ‘the still, small voice within’ that coaxes us to approach or avoid, depending upon what is in our best interest.

Tuesday's Healing Words - Inner Guidance

“Inner guidance is heard like soft music in the night by those who have learned to listen.”

~ Vernon Howard

“The body has its own way of knowing, a knowing that has little to do with logic, and much to do with truth, little to do with control, and much to do with acceptance, little to do with division and analysis, and much to do with union.”

 ~ Marilyn Sewell

“Our inner guidance comes to us through our feelings and body wisdom first — not through intellectual understanding. The intellect works best in service to our intuition, our inner guidance, soul, God or higher power – whichever term we choose for the spiritual energy that animates life.”

~ Christiane NorthrupTuesday's Healing Words - Inner Guidance

 Tuesday's Healing Word Focus

Definition of Focus:  A center of interest or activity; close or narrow attention; concentration.  This is what Jack Canfield, Co-Author of Chicken Soup For The Soul Series, says about positive focus: “Successful people maintain a positive focus in life no matter what is going on around them. They stay focused on their past successes rather than their past failures, and on the next action steps they need to take to get them closer to the fulfillment of their goals, rather than all the other distractions that life presents to them”.

Tuesday's Healing Word Focus

Thich Nhat Hanh, Zen Buddist Monk, teacher, author, poet and peace activist writes: “It’s very important that we re-learn the art of resting and relaxing. Not only does it help prevent the onset of many illnesses that develop through chronic tension and worrying; it allows us to clear our minds, focus, and find creative solutions to problems”

Tuesday's Healing Word Focus

Focus on the journey,

not the destination.

Joy is found not in finishing an activity but in doing it.
