Crown Chakra, Self-Realization/Fulfillment

February 27th, 2013 | Posted by Velda in CHAKRAS

crown chakra wisdom

The Crown Chakra is at the top of the head and is about enlightenment and being one with the world.  A person with a balanced Crown Chakra 1s at peace with themself, have a charismatic personality, and are on their spiritual journey.  An under-active chakra, the person might not be very aware of spirituality and probably quite rigid in their thinking.   An over-active Crown Chakra often is someone intellectualizing things too much.  They could be addicted to spirituality and probably ignoring bodily needs.  Someone with a blocked or unbalanced chakra could be manic depressive, frustrated, undisciplined, always feel tired, or unable to make decisions.

crown chakra nurished by eggplant

The healing color associated with the Crown Chakra is violet and the gemstones are mostly clear or violet.  Foods like plum and eggplant can nourish this chakra.  However, this chakra is more “spirit” than “matter”.  Therefore the Crown Chakra thrives on the sustenance that comes from sunlight, air, and love.

When do you need to work on your Crown Chakra?  If you are depressed, suffering from a chronic illness or mental disorder, have a weak immune system, suffering from a sleep disorder, have no spiritual awareness or have a need for spiritual connection. Meditation, cardio, running or walking are wonderful exercises for this chakra.

Clear Quartz Opens Crown Chakra

February 24th, 2013 | Posted by Velda in GEMSTONES

clear quartz opens crown chakra

Clear Quartz is specifically used for opening a closed Crown Chakra.  This stone provides clarity and purpose and allows us to see the broader meaning in everyday events.  It guides us to understand and live in sync with universal truths.  At a spiritual level, this crystal raises energy to the highest possible level.  Clear Quartz harmonizes all the chakras and aligns the subtle bodies (the layers of the beomagnetic sheath that relate to the physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual being).

Violet, clear, and white gemstones work well with the Crown Chakra such as:  Amethyst, White Topaz, White Calcite, Selenite, Lemurian Quartz, Lavender Quartz and Violet Jasper.

Scalp Massage with Crown Pull Exercise

February 22nd, 2013 | Posted by Velda in ENERGY HEALING

scalp massage with crown pull exercise

Join me in participating in a simple exercise that feels like giving yourself a wonderful scalp massage.  Donna Eden introduced the Crown Pull exercise in her books Energy Medicine and Energy Medicine For Women.  She explains, “that energy can become stagnant in the brain and skull if it doesn’t release and move out through the Crown Chakra.  The Crown Chakra Exercise clears the cobwebs from your mind and brings a calm to your nervous system, releasing mental congestion, refreshing your mind, and opening you to higher inspiration.”

1.  Start with your thumbs on your temples, fingertips resting at the middle of your forehead, breathe deeply through your nose and out through your mouth.

2.  Apply pressure and slowly pull your fingers apart stretching the skin across the width of the forehead.  Continue to inhale through the nose, exhale through the mouth and repeat several times.

3.  Place fingertips at hairline and repeat stretch pulling from the center of head down.

4.  Repeat this stretching exercise working across the top, center and back of head. (see picture – massaging the frontal lobe, parietal lobe, occipital lobe and the cerebellum lobe at the back of your neck.)

5.  Move down to the shoulders and push your fingers in and hold.  When ready release.

spleen10circulation&moreAre you someone who spends long periods of time working at a desk, or someone not aware of the time spent working on projects, or someone who sometimes just likes taking well earned couch potato time.  If you are not getting up and moving around, this could create a circulation problem in the legs.  Please consider taking a few minutes every 20 minutes or so to massage Spleen 10 acupoint.  The location is on the inside of the leg just above the knee.  It is best to find Spleen 10 in a sitting position.  Rest hands on both legs at top of knee then move up approximately two inches where you feel the muscle with the thumb on the inside of the leg (see picture).  You can begin to massage with your thumbs Spleen 10 on both legs at the same time.

Healing Heart & Blood Affirmations

healingheart&blood

I think it is a wonderful idea to  wrap up this Valentine week with Louise Hay’s Heart Affirmation from her book, Heal Your Body.  She writes “The Heart represents the center of love and security.”   She gives us the following Heart Affirmation:   “MY HEART BEATS TO THE RHYTHM OF LOVE.”

It would be important to include Louise Hay’s Blood Affirmation from the same book.  She writes “The Blood represents joy in the body flowing freely.”  She gives us the following Blood Affirmation:  “I AM THE JOY OF LIFE EXPRESSING & RECIEVING.”
