Healing Crystals for Kids

Series #5  wraps up a total of 25 crystals recommended as healing crystals for kids.  Adults, here are suggestions for you:  1. Make sure that crystals for young children are tumbled.  This will help prevent pieces breaking off.  Older children might find that they are drawn  to the rough stones, which is great.   2.  New crystals and those that have been used for any length of time are cleansed in clean water.  Get the kids involved.  Have them rinse the crystals off then lay them out on a towel to dry.  3.  Later your child can hold each crystal in their dominant hand, close their eyes, and picture the stone filling with positive, powerful energy.

Healing Crystals for Kids - Series #2

Moms, Grammys, and Aunties, here are more crystals and gemstones recommended to use with children.  Kids love to be encouraged to explore the healing powers of these natural elements.  If you decide to experiment with Kid’s Healing Crystals and need to shop for any of these stones, please let it be an outing with you and your child.  Allow them to hold the pieces and make their selection.  The proper stone will be what your child chooses.  Size is not a factor, because sometimes it is the smallest stone with the most power. The examples of stones being shown in the series are polished, but the rough unpolished stones are equally acceptable.

Healing Crystals for Kids

For all Moms reading bwb, I wanted to share healing gemstones and crystals for children.  Kids have a profound connection to rocks and the healing attributes of stones and crystals.  This is the first in a series of five blogs, listing gemstones and crystals that support helping various children’s issues and challenges.  My junior clients love and respond to gemstone therapy using some of the following crystals:

Healing Crystals For Kids

Amethyst – is a master healing crystal.   It will help children in the midst of a transition (i.e. a death of family, pet, moving, or mother going back to work).  Amethyst helps with nightmares or insomnia, by placing a piece on the child’s nightstand or under the pillow.  For children with disabilities or with either emotional or physical pain, an Amethyst cluster in their room helps bring the room into a balanced state.  Also for local pain, an Amethyst can be held directly on or over the area for up to 20 minutes.

Healing Crystals For Kids

Obsidian-Apache Tears – helps children with any form of sadness.  This stone is protective.  It is a nice stone to carry around in a pocket so it can be held when needed.  This is also a stone that can be placed under the child’s pillow.  I know one junior client that likes to fall asleep holding his Apache Tears.

Healing Crystals for Kids

Blue Lace Agate - Few crystals have the soft, gentle energy of this agate.  That is why it is helpful for children who are argumentative and have a short temper.  It allows them to practice more peaceful communication.  Blue Lace Agate can be worn (since it is great for the throat chakra), carried in the pocket, or placed under the pillow at night.

Healing Crystals for Kids

Carnelian Agate – can be used to help with feelings of inadequacy and low self-esteem.  It is useful for promoting self-security and self-love.  Carnelian encourages love between parents and children.  It helps girls appreciate their bodies.  It can be used for acne by holding the stone over the skin and moving it in circles for several minutes several times a day.  This is a great stone in aiding creativity.

Healing Crystals for Kids

Aventurine – is a leadership stone.  It is very loving, embracing, and protective of the heart.  It is an excellent stone for children who are shy and/or timid, and suppressing their leadership qualities.  This stone helps them to become active and to initiate action on their own accord.  Asthmatic children seem attracted to Aventurine as it opens up the lungs, giving them some relief.  It balances out polar energies.

Shamans-Ancient Wisdom Keepers

I am not a Shamanic Healer, but wanted to share a little information regarding Shamanism.  I tuned into the Shamanism Global Summit, August 4-6,  and listened to 19 of the most well thought of men and women that included those practicing the traditions past down to them for many generations such as Bhola Nath Banstola.  It also featured well known neo-shamanism teachers, healers, and authors, (many with western medical backgrounds).

Shaman-Ancient Wisdom KeepersShamans are keepers of ancient wisdom techniques  used to perform healing and maintain the well being of their community and its members. It  is not a religion so much as a spiritual path, which has been around for at least 30,000 years.  Shamanism is a set of tools and techniques used to interact with the spirit world and the world around us.  It is based on the belief that everything is Spirit The actual term, “Shaman” refers to medicine men or women who are the healers, teachers and sages. It is an ancient spiritual and healing practice found throughout the Americas and all traditional cultures in the world – India, Tibet, Russia, Central Europe and practiced most actively today in the Americas.

Shamanism is not only an ancient spiritual practice, it is also very deverse .  Global diversity is one of the most exciting and fascinating things about this field of healing.  Listed below are the  Shamanism Global Summit notable speakers and their topic titles.  I will share helpful exercises  taken from many of these teachers (keepers of ancient wisdom) in future blogs.

Inner Energy Affirmations

The affirmation exercises illustrated below are used in Sahaja Yoga to bring attention  inside and above your head where meditation occurs.  They awaken your inner energy and are helpful prior to meditating.  Here are the simple directions for Inner Energy Affirmations:

1.  Make your self comfortable before starting.  Take a few deep breaths and relax.  2.  Use your right hand and place on the left side of your body as shown in each illustration.  3.  Keep your attention on the right hand, while you say each affirmation. In that way your attention will also rise as your hand does.  4.  Repeat each one a few times silently inside with sincerity.  Using these exact words is not as important as the meaning.   Say what feels right to you.  ENJOY!

Inner Energy Affirmations

The Laughter Of Women

The laughter of women sets fire
to the Halls of Injustice
and the false evidence burns
to a beautiful white lightness

It rattles the Chambers of Congress
and forces the windows wide open
so the fatuous speeches can fly out

The Laughter of Women

The laughter of women wipes the mist
from the spectacles of the old;
it infects them with a happy flu
and they laugh as if they were young again

Prisoners held in underground cells
imagine that they see daylight
when they remember the laughter of women

The Laugher of Women

It runs across water that divides,
and reconciles two unfriendly shores
like flares that signal the news to each other

What a language it is, the laughter of women,
high-flying and subversive.
Long before law and scripture
we heard the laughter, we understood freedom.
